Even Though StayBettr Rewards Are Free
There Are A Few Things You Should Know...

Like everything in life there are a few terms and conditions associated with the StayBettr Rewards Program. See our full terms below, and a few common questions below:

Common Questions:

  • I was part of a group that stayed at your property. Does that earn anything towards status?
    • If you signed into our WiFi during your stay with a your legal name and valid email address you automatically became a Member of StayBettr Rewards. For the stay to qualify for Rewards Status tiers (Gold, Silver, etc) you must be the reservation holder as listed in our reservation system.
  •  Do my stays that were booked on Airbnb, VRBO, or Booking.com count towards my status?
    • We will count a maximum of one reservation booked on a third party platform towards your status. All other reservations must be booked through staybettr.com to count as a qualifying activity for status.
  • It's been over a year since I've booked. Can I have my status reinstated?
    • Book a qualifying stay through staybettr.com and we will reinstate the status level like you never left. You won't be eligible for Perks on that first return trip, but all future trips will receive the Perks of your status tier. Your tier at reinstatement will be based on your eligibility when you're reinstated.
  • How can I find my current status level or update my email address or phone number?
    • You can do a quick calculation of your status on our Rewards page. If you want an official assessment you can contact us using the form below. You can also update your contact information using that form.
  • I think I should have a higher tier than I'm currently assigned. Can I appeal my current status?
    • If you believe your status level is incorrect, you can contact us using the form below. Provide the dates, confirmation codes for booked stays you believe qualify you for status. We will look into it and adjust your status based on our investigation.
  • My spouse booked our trip one year, and I booked our trip the next year. Can our accounts be combined so we earn a higher status tier?
    • You can contact us at the form below to combine accounts from a common household. You are eligible to combine stays from a common household one time. Going forward you should use a single account to book future stays if you want them to qualify for your status.

    • Temporary Program Ineligibility: If you opt out of marketing emails from StayBettr Vacation Rentals, you will be ineligible to earn qualification towards status tiers. You will still be eligible for everyday savings by booking on our website. If you opt back into emails, then your status will be reinstated as if you never left.

Retaining and Reassessing Your Status Tier: The program will undertake an initial census on June 1, 2025 to set Status Tiers designations for existing Members based on the following qualifying periods: January 1, 2025-May 31, 2025, 2024, 2023. The next, and all future censuses will occur on December 31 each year. The following qualifying periods will be used to set your Status Tier Designation:

  1. 2026 Status Tiers set using qualifying periods: 2025, 2024, 2023.
  2. 2027 Status Tiers set using qualifying periods: 2026, 2025, 2024.
  3. 2028 Status Tiers set using qualifying periods: 2027, 2026, 2025.
  4. 2029 Status Tiers set using qualifying periods: 2028, 2027, 2026.
  5. 2030 Status Tiers set using qualifying periods: 2029, 2028, 2027.

To retain your current Status Tier you must make at least one qualifying activity in the current qualifying period period AND have enough total qualifying activities to keep your designation. If you do not have enough qualifying activities at census to retain your Status Tier designation, your status will adjust to the tier you're currently eligible for. If your total qualifying activities required for your tier falls below threshold during the current period, your Status Tier will remain the same until the next census. However, your Status Tier will be upgraded immediately following the completion of a qualifying activity that earns you the next Status Tier designation.

Temporary Loss of Status Tier Designation: A Member will temporarily lose their Status Tier designation if they do not complete at least one Qualifying Activity in the most recent Qualifying Period. A Member can restore their Status Tier designation by completing one qualifying activity. The qualifying activity will be counted as a qualifying activity for Status Tier assessment, but will be ineligible for Perks redemption, as your Status Tier is not restored until the stay is completed. The Member's restored Status Tier designation will be based on their eligibility at the time of restoration.

Utilizing Perks: Members will be eligible to utilize the Perks of their Status Tier designation as well as all the Perks of all lower tiers. However, Perks that are modified or replaced in a higher tier can not be combined with those of the lower tier. Members may not use Perks during periods of  temporary or permanent loss of Membership eligibility. Unused Perks have no monetary value, and you will not be compensated if you do not, or are unable to use any of your Perks.

Perks may not be redeemed for cash unless allowed by law. SBVR has determined that the monetary value of all your Status Tier Perks to be one-tenth of one cent. ($0.001). Where allowed by law, you can redeem the value of your Perks once annually by submitting a signed letter requesting payment with your program member details, and a self addressed stamped envelope to us. If you redeem your Perks for cash,  you will be ineligible to use Perks on future stays for 12 months.

Limits on the use of Perks: Certain Perks may have periods of ineligibility or blackout dates. Blackout dates vary by region and property, and SBVR is not required to publish a schedule in advance. Additionally, SBVR may designate partially or fully ineligible properties for Perks redemption. Unless otherwise noted, stays at Perks ineligible properties, will still count as qualifying activities for Status Tiers assessment.

Specific Restrictions and Notes on Available Perks:

  • Modification or Elimination of Fees: When your Status Tier provides discounted fees, such as late check-out fees, they are available to the extent that a fee is charged at the property. These discounts can't be combined. For example, you can't receive both Off Peak Pricing during Peak Periods and also receive an additional discount. We automatically give you largest discount you're eligible for.
  • Discounted Stay Extensions: These discounts can't be combined. You may only extend your stay for a discounted rate after you have checked-in to the property. The night requested must be available at the property you are currently staying at. If your original check-out is on a Friday, you must book 2 additional nights, or wait until 12 hours prior to check-out for confirmation of availability for a single night extension.
  • 5/10% Off Your Stay: Discounts are not combined, but we automatically give you the largest discount you're eligible for. Discount is only taken on the nightly rate, not any fees. Discounts can not be combined with other offers.
  • Stay 9 Nights Get Your 10th Night Free:  Every 9 nights you stay with us you earn a 10th night free. The reservation containing the 10th night will be discounted at the average nightly rate of your previous 9 nights, or the average nightly rate of your current reservation--whichever rate is lower. Counting of nights starts from the time you reach Elite Status Tier.
  • Changes to Check In/Out Times: All changes to check-in or out times are subject to availability. We will not be able to adjust times if we have same day turnover, maintenance that can't be rescheduled, or cleaning crew schedules that can't be changed.
  • Guaranteed Early Check-In's and Late Check-Out's: Guaranteed changes to check in and out times are subject to calendar availability at the time you made the request. The following Black Out Periods apply: Late Check-Outs on Friday, Early Check-Ins on Sunday. We will provide adjustment those days if we can, but we won't guarantee them in advance. There may be additional Black Out dates during periods of peak demand, or at properties that experience high occupancy.
  • Cancellation Flexibility: The cancellation policy for your reservation will automatically become the next most flexible published cancellation policy provided at the property. (ie strict will become. firm, will become moderate)
  • 24 Hour Cancellation: Unless the property is not eligible, your cancellation policy automatically becomes the Flexible Policy.
  • Complimentary Date Changes: Allows you to change the dates of your stay, even after the cancellation window has closed. If the number of nights and property stays the same, your price will not go up, even if the new underlying nights are more costly. This price cap only applies to bookings taken during similar periods of demand. (ie the price for a weekday stay in April, can't be substituted for a stay July 4th week.)

Miscellaneous: If you were automatically enrolled as a Member, that automatic enrollment is not construed as acceptance of these Terms. You will be asked to accept these Terms when 1) you voluntarily sign up to participate in the program via the Program Site, and/or 2) you wish to redeem Perks you are eligible for under the program. You agree to hold SBVR harmless for any losses, perceived or real, arising from your participation in StayBettr Rewards. Any benefit received by you from the program must conform to these Terms and are not guaranteed. If you unsatisfied with the program, you agree that you have no rights to compensation, monetary or otherwise. Your sole remedy is to stop participating in the program and surrender your membership. For more information you may Contact Us.
